The Pilot Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified pilots to meet the operational needs of the airline or aviation organization. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle, fostering relationships with candidates, and ensuring compliance with industry and organizational standards.






Key Responsibilities


Candidate Sourcing:

  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified pilots.
  • Leverage online job boards, professional networks, aviation schools, and recruitment events.


Screening and Assessment:

  • Review applications and resumes to evaluate qualifications and experience.
  • Conduct initial interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, certifications, and cultural fit.


Compliance and Documentation:

  • Verify pilot credentials, licenses, certifications, and medical records in accordance with aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to company and aviation industry hiring standards.


Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, flight training organizations, and aviation schools.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.


Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with HR, flight operations, and leadership to understand staffing needs and priorities.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and onboarding activities.


Market Research and Trends:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, including pilot shortages, regulatory changes, and market competition


Qualifications

  • Preferably with a commercial pilot license
  • Experience in recruiting, preferably within aviation or technical fields.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry regulations and pilot certification requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a pilot or within flight operations will be advantageous but not required
  • Established network in the aviation industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and meet hiring deadlines.
